Buss,

The carb you are talking about is a F1B, the only thing, I believe, that is available is the gasket set; Smith and Jones Antique Auto Parts, 1-800-422-1928.
The carb runs good if you clean all the passages; as a example, there is a seal on the mounting bolt that holds the two halves together, the reason is, the gas is around this bolt and there are two small passage-ways for gas in the lower housing above the bolt head. The F1B is also made of a ferious metal and sometimes you have to install heli-coils when the mounting bolts to intake manifold strip out.
If you plan on rebuilding be sure you have all the jets, if not, look for a spare for parts.

I can send you a article that shows all the passage-ways.

Frankly I think you would be better with a original Zenith or Holley as all parts are available, they re cast iron and most are very re-buildable.

Send me a PM if you want the F1B article.

Ron

I believe you mean non ferious, basis for some Tillotson issues.

When I acquired my 1930 Coupe it had a Tillotson F1-B, and when I acquired my 1929 Phaeton it also had one. Both were trouble free for about 55 years on the Coupe and about 40+ years on the Phaeton, always gave 23 -25 mpg. Switched to Zenith on both cars only because of authenticity in showing the cars, no other reason. I have the carbs and sometimes think about putting them back on.
