Default Passing of George Pope

I don't have a lot of info other than the passing of a great Model A guy and friend George Pope. George is one of the restorers of Huff and Puff the 1930 school bus. George hadn't been well for a while. We talked on the phone but I didn't get over to which saddens me. George was my go to guy. If I needed a part or had a question I always called George. For you out there that don't know the story, look up on Hemmings "Huff and Puff". George was an amazing guy. I'm sorry to say I heard of his passing through another friend. I hadn't heard and finally found a small blurb in the obits , George passed July 12th. The article stated services pending and have still yet to find anymore. I'm hoping he got a good send off as I always imagined a procession of Model A's transporting him to his final resting place. Rest in Peace George.

An important lesson learned! Visit while you still can. May this honorable man rest in peace. My condolences to his family and friends. Wayne

was very sorry to hear about another Model A guru passing. It sure is hard loosing the very influencial members of our Model A hobby. To his family and friends my deepest symphaty. May all remember the good memories and make it a goal to share our hobby with others just like he did.

I first met George in 1966 at the MAFCA national convention. He was a great guy and really an ambassador of the Model A hobby.
