Tire thoughts
This is a photo that I took at a recent event. The tires were LT 215/85 R16 on a '31 Tudor. They have the look that I think I want.
My '31 Roadster has a B engine, HC head, F&S Ignition, Weber carb, touring cam, '39 gears in B box, Laycock OD, 3.54 rear, and 16" wires with 6.50's. I'm very happy with performance and ride as is. The current tires have good tread and some ozone checking but are 14 years old. She'll need tires soon, I think. I did not locate the owner of the pictured A to get his take on them so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks for sharing. Russ |

Re: Tire thoughts
LT tires are fine, but they ride a bit stiffer due to the thicker sidewalls.
As a LT tire, its designed to have fairly high tire pressures. Your model A will be lighter than the truck these tires were originally intended for, so you will need to run lower tire pressures. The pressure that works best for your application will need to be determined empirically by you. In order to get a good footprint, you will probably find that your pressures may be quite a bit lower than you expected. Not really the optimum situation for tire life, and fuel economy, and safety...but almost certainly better than the original Model A tires
