Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
My early 28 sport coupe the day I pulled it out of a shed and brought it home. The addiction began.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
I use it in every forum just because it is easy. I started using it years ago in a forum where there was a lot of discussion of wanting pictures of the members. Driving a convertible in the mountains with my wife by my side is a great activity so I used a picture she took of me during a club mountain drive.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
Because it's my car and a restoration I did myself. When I complete the '31 roadster that one may become my avatar. Here's the roadster as it stands now... yeah, I know... whitewalls !

It's my Dad driving the '31 Roadster that he and Mom carried me home from the hospital in in 1936.

Our 1930 coupe (since February 1977); my wife Jean (since February 1965) and me at Napa County July 4th parade a couple of years ago. Avatar pretty much says it all. (February is a good month.)

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
28-29 woodies are among my favorite Model As. Mine is one of the first 5 prototypes built 12/10/28 with original wood and no finger joints. Perhaps the only one restored to show quality.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
My 8 year old grandson looked like he was heading out to pick up his favorite girl, and it brought back memories when I was his age and sat in my dad's model A.

Proud enough to have a son interested in Model A's. The other members hated it when he was a judge because he was so tough.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
it looks similar to my first A car, ( my first was actually an AA), a 29 coupe that was even more rough than the sedan in the avatar. It had been converted to a plumbers truck, with a box in place of the trunk lid, and pipe racks screwed to the pass side fenders. The visor was missing. There was about 5 square inches of paint left on the entire body. It had new tires and battery and ran quiet and cool, but had some electrical problems.... Cost me 125 bucks in 1972. I spent a lot of time under the hood like these guys until I got it running very well and drove it as my only car until 1980.
