Re: deluxe tudors
go to this site http://www.classicmotorcarauctions.c...ct.php?id=8408
I think it's not right to do that to a car like this they would of been better off making a hot rod out of it. It's even has the carpet in it witch shouldn't be there at all they put everything in the car as a real Deluxe Tudor would of had I wonder if it's a all original car or not ????. And the part's are all original to the car I wouldn't think so just looking at it I think it's a classic re-pop car who ever did this I'm sure they didn't use the original parts inside the car and as far as I can tell on the outside as well. But as they say to each is own what I don't get why would you even want to do that and I just wonder what they got for it it's sold. I just looked at the additional options and it says it has a am/fm radio and it says it didn't sell and they want between $15,000 to $20,000 for it and it was a full restoration but they added stuff that shouldn't even be there un-real Last edited by reggiedog; 09-06-2015 at 04:55 AM. |

Re: deluxe tudors
Tom,
What I'm saying is what they did is made a 1930 DELUXE Tudor in whitch there isn't one but you are right they did leave the engine pans off and this wouldn't be a regular driver car someone took the time to make this a Deluxe Tudor instead of a regular 1930 Tudor. What I'm saying is they added the stuff that shouldn't even be in the car at all if you would want a driver car you wouldn't make the car a Deluxe like they did they made this car as the thing or ad says the car is for it's a judging car or (show Car) or ready to be one Not a driver car like you say. Plus if your going to make it a driver out of it you would just make it a 12V system and your done but enough of that. Reggie Last edited by reggiedog; 09-06-2015 at 05:23 AM. |

Re: deluxe tudors
Everyone knows that a DeLuxe Tudor was only made in '31 and must have a back seat that looks like this:

Re: deluxe tudors
Yes I know that also I was just saying that they shouldn't of made a 1930 Tudor into a Deluxe Tudor that's all I was saying.
Plus I have a Late 31 Deluxe Tudor Sedan myself so I know that very well as to what they look like as I have one |

Re: deluxe tudors
I don't understand why this was even brought up? The owner did what he wanted to do. Are you saying that it is frowned upon if my tudor has a sidemount and cowl lights? I believe we should stop worrying about what other people are doing and focus on our own cars.

Re: deluxe tudors
Seems your problem really lies with the auction company.
Have you contacted them with your complaints? |

Re: deluxe tudors
Hmm, wish I had that is my garage to talk about !
I might even put some 'stuff' hidden, so you can not see it,eh....to heat up the stock engine and make it run real good with a Mitchell or 2X That way, it would be able to 'get on/off the TRAILER' quickly.... |

Re: deluxe tudors
Guess I am in the "so what" camp. It's their car and they can paint it pink if they want.

Re: deluxe tudors
Having been around awhile I have found that the average Model A fan thinks deluxe means a combo of cowl lights, side mounts and white wall tires.
The actual 31 Ford Deluxe Tudor is likely not known (nor cared) by 2% of the average fan. Doubt this infraction of terms is that big of deal as many have pointed out. Oh well, tomorrow is a free day! |
