Model A Body Assembly video
Based on the feedback we received with the Engine Assembly video we pieced together this video. Using 10 different archived videos spliced together this video depicts the assembly process that Ford built bodies went through.
https://youtu.be/NJCh6cJB27k It starts with the rolling out of the sheet metal, stamping sub rails, rear quarter panels, the rear wall, assembly jig, polishing, pinstriping, and more. Be sure to look for the very early 1928 Tudor body! Multiple years, assembly plants, and countries are represented in this video so you're not seeing a single body being produced but rather working with what is available to give a general overview of the process throughout the Model A Era. https://youtu.be/NJCh6cJB27k |

Re: Model A Body Assembly video
Couple things: I didn't see any safety devices for the big body panel press that would keep the young guy pulling finished rear body panels out after stamping from getting caught in the press by mistake. He's gotta be on his toes all day.
Also, the man bolting finished body panels together with the 10-32 screws is wearing heavy gloves. It's all I can do to start those little screws myself bare handed. Thanks for the video!! Loved it. |

Re: Model A Body Assembly video
Well Done. I noticed no primer under the wood sections. and the press for putting the rivets in the body crossmember. That would make it much easier. Great Video Thanks JP
