Re: Help with rod bearings
You are correct; they are outta a 221. That rod/bearing setup was used in the English 'V8 Pilots'. Those bearings nowadays are impossible to find. All is not lost however; The American flanged full floater style bearings [1932-38] will be a direct replacement. One advantage with using those existing rods is that, generally, because the previous bearings are the 'lock in' style, the big ends of the rods tend to not be worn oversized/oval, as happens with full floaters. Consequently, generally you can run floaters with a standard size o/d. Obviously, measure everything up, don't worry about the double oil holes in the journals; the floaters will run quite happily on them.

Re: Help with rod bearings
Don't know what undersize you need but I have some flanged bearings in limited sizes and the 81-A bearings without the flange in many undersizes. Also have main bearings that will fit your engine.

Re: Help with rod bearings
I can't really answer your question here. However you are in for a trip here. The fanged bearing crank had a wider bearing area to make room for the flange, Not sure if the inside dimension of the rod is the right size for the floating bearing. The stock bearing needs a 2.220" rod which I hone out to 2,2215. If you have fit the bearing shell to the crank and rod. I do this on a ground flywheel and tap the bearing with a dead blow hammer until it moves in the rod and crank. I have all this in my book. Start measuring before you buy anything, as this is very expensive.

Re: Help with rod bearings
Fred at SSO will know which ones you need, and more than likely have NOS ones in stock. Barnfind08 here on the barn.
