Default Model a Keys and Locks

Has anyone tried the DVD " Model A Keys and Locks?" I have four locks that are in great shape but the keys are missing. I read that the DVD shows the tools and how to for disassembly and making keys. Any feedback please.

BTW, I have a door handle with a broken lock. The outer 1/4" of the cylinder broke off. It is salvageable? Is it possible to get a replacement cylinder? Is it even possible to remove and replace the cylinder without tearing the handle apart?

Thanks,
Doug

Rob, Any skilled locksmith can "key" a lock by impression. It's done by blackening the blank with a candle and twisting the blank against the lock pins, then with a eyeloupe, seeing just where the contact was made and with a small file, shaping it the profile (Scuse the run on sentence) I've done a few locks myself. Good Luck!

I do not think Cal will deal with the repro doorhandles., as the cylinder will not come out. Locksmith is your best bet.

Is this an original door handle? if so it can be removed.
Replacement cylinders for the late 30 untill end door handles are offered on Ebay every week for about $70.00

Did not find one at Hershey

Yow! How much does a decent complete door handle with lock go for?

If I wasn't so busy at work (and didn't have negative 5.5 vacation days available) I would have been at Hershey today...
