Great posting. I've been 4-5 times. Put a sprinkler under your car and hope you get enough salt out. I've done some of that same road on a motorcycle.

When I went a few years ago I got a gallon of WD-40 and sprayed the entire bottom of my truck. After we got back on the pavement we stopped to see how much salt we had collected and there was very little. After getting home I put it up on jackstands in the driveway with 2 sprinklers under it and there was pretty much nothing washed out.

Wow, just noticed this link now and what great shots of your trip...even if I'm two years in replying. *S*

Your rear view mirror, where did you get it and what's it from?

Thanks, but this thread I'd just a couple months old, not two years.

I actually bought that mirror from a member here on Fordbarn!

Your road trip to my neck of the woods in Colorado makes up for it! Both road trip posts are GREAT! I hate it when people are surprised to see the old stuff still working!

Been thinking of making the trek in my avatar now that my oil leak problems have been resolved - after your pics, I'm starting to count the days! Great shots and thanks for posting ....
