I installed an alternator on my '47. It is a Delco one wire that has also been converted to 6 volt / positive ground. I bought the alternator and bracket from Little Dearborn in Minneapolis. Installation was straight forward and the bracket fit good. I have had the car out driving the last couple days and very pleased with the results. Came home friday night and headlights are nice and bright. I have a Pertronix electronic ignition on the car and have always had a slight stumble, more at highway speeds. Now that the ignition is getting good voltage the car runs great.
