Default Advertisements on Fordbarn

The last couple days I have been getting advertisements between posts on Fordbarn. There is a box where you can click to eliminate further advertisements, but I do not know where this is coming from or if this was sponsored by Fordbarn. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for any help.

Once you log in they should go away. Do they?

That's because you checked "remember me". Log out and you will see the ads.

have had this problem and isolated it to a worm Went into control panel and deleted bad programs.

In my case you would see a word in color. If you put the curser on that word you would get a popup add.

Wish I could remmember the bad program titles, but can't.

Must have a worm in your brain.

Take a look in the upper right corner of the add bar, you will find the name of the application / Malware / Worm... that is delivering them to you. You should be getting them on many different sites. You can remove the application by going to the Control Panel of you PC, choose ADD / Remove Programs, scroll down to the application name that you saw in the corner of the add window, and remove it. There maybe many installations of it and other like ones, remove them all and reboot. Next time do not just click YES to everything, and watch what you are allowing to be installed. It is not a FB issue from my experience...

You beat me to posting the same question/problem !
I just was informed that I needed to relog in and when I tried to do so...holy smoke...a pot load of ads kept piling on ! Acura dealer; Citibank; Meet luscious Russian Girl; on and on! Now am pissed as wife wants to know who the Russian Girl is that I'm seeing...WHAT !

Not knowing computer stuff, I'm wondering same/same as you, i.e.- doesn't Ryan know ? Oh well, back to work on A, eh

The best thing would for you to do a Google search on how to remove add pop ups and add bars. I can't send a screen shot as I do not have a infected machine to copy one from right now. Most of the "legitimate" ones have their name in very small print in one corner. If you are getting porn adds that is a most likely not a good one, you have a very infected PC. Here is one help site, http://malwaretips.com/blogs/connect-toolbar-removal/

I have two computers, an old desk top and a new I pad. The new one has these annoying ads but the old one works just fine. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks to all of you for your help and information. Tonight I logged into Fordbarn and the advertisements are gone I don't know where they went or why they appeared in the first, but for now things are better. It's nice to have a site like Fordbarn for help if you need it. Thanks again.
