what year is this ford pickup?

The cab looks to be a '51 or '52, wide rear window, while the front clip, fenders hood grille, look to be of '48 - '50 vintage.

It's harder to say than it looks. It may be a hodge-podge of parts for all I know. The VIN won't help much either. It seems to have the large rear window and it has the FORD letters on the front so It appears to be a later 1950 or a 51 or later cab but that's just a guess. There are a few folks that frequent this forum that have an idea of where the VIN numbers fall within a year but the information is not written down in any books that I'm aware of. It's from years of recording numbers and comparisons to they way they are configured with the parts from different years.

Stainless on the grill is 1948, however the stainless around the windshield is 1951-1952 Five star...so yes it is a hodge podge

What is the vin # looks to be 48-50 front end 51-52 cab bed looks 50 1/2-52 what the plate in glove read are data plate read, # on frame rail ? The cab is 5 star extra it probably has locking glove stainless around front glass vent windows dome light and few other things

A picture of the dash would confirm that it's a 51-52 cab. The serial number will be on the top of the PS frame rail just behind the motor mount. It has a 51-52 front bumper, so I'd guess the front clip was swapped onto a 51-52 frame with cab and bed.

If that is a '51-'52 cab, find a '51-'52 front clip to put on it. I always thought the '51-'52 grille looked better.

here is the dash pic. it looks to have a keyed glove box door but hard to tell.

%1-52 cab and 48-50 nose on it. Later steering wheel and horn button. Like said before....a hodge podge of parts thrown together to make a truck. It's usually the 48-50 truck with a 51-52 nose on it. Like my dogs say..... RUFF!

Here's a photo of my 48 dash which is totally different then that truck. With all the other comments I would agree that you have a 51-52 with a 48-50 front clip. Depending of what the seller wants for the truck is could be a good buy especially if you can find the correct front clip.

I was hoping it was a 49 to go with my coupe. But to me I really can't tell, it's just a cool old ford truck to me any which way ya go.

What would it be worth as is, no engine, no trans?
