Default stalling




i have been driving my 30 deluxe roadster for about 2 weeks and today when i cam to a stop it stalled it started right up again does this sound like a carb float problem

thanks for any help

The float level may be just a touch low.

Could it be something simple like your idle is set too low?

That would be my guess. Try opening the GAV about 1/3 of a turn, see if it keeps running. A low float will cause a lean condition when the fuel runs to the front of the bowl.

I was playing with my Fordor a few weeks ago. For the first time ever I set the float level low as an experiment. Oddly enough it doesn't seem to run any different! It seems to do fine under a load and under rapid acceleration. It sure surprised me! Also no stalling whatsoever.



I guess I'll have to do several experiments to see just what the real world limits are with an original Zenith. It doesn't seem very critical at this stage.
