Default Re: V-8 Fords on Film

On Moday 3/28 I participated on a movie shoot with my 36 Phaeton. The movie is "J Edgar" directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Supposed to be released in 2012.

My car was static, and just parked at the curb and judging by the camera angles may or may not appear in the final shots.

Highlight of the day was when Clint Eastwood came over and we had a conversation about the car. The way it was parked he could see in through the hood louvers and said "I see it has the original engine". Who would have thought he would know that???? He told me he once had a 46 Convertible 'but not as nice as yours'. Made me feel good about the encounter. He's very low key and soft-spoken.

Having your car in a movie entails lots of standing around - we were there for the entire day. The catering was excellent though.

The scene was shot at the George Washington Masonic Temple in Alexandria Va.
