The 3-bolt is a Ford manifold. The 4-bolt is Merc. DD

the merc 4 bolt had a weird looking carb ,I think it was called a teapot carb. I have one taken off a running merc engine , also I think the rochester GM 2bbl should fit on that manifold also. hope this helps.

Rochester 2G or 2GC GM 2bbl will fit. Both are good carbs. With an adapter an Autolite 2100 or Motorcraft 2150 will also fit. All are good carbs.

A "small base" 2GC (Rochester) carb will bolt onto a Merc manifold. However, the bores in the Merc manifold are quite a bit smaller than the 2GC (I think it's 1 3/16" vs 1 7/16"; I can check tomorrow). I was able to bore an aluminum Canadian Merc manifold out to 1 7/16". Everything works best if you mount the 2GC backwards on the Merc manifold.

Ralph, bring them down next time you come through Wasilla, I can use them for parts for my 51 Merc. , I am still running that style carb on it. I got back from Texas about 2 weeks ago. still getting back in the "groove" up here. had the coupe out last weekend.-----Jim
