Default 1935 Ford Coupe Front Fender Bracket

Hi, Can anyone show me a picture or describe in detail what a 1935 Ford Coupe front fender bracket should look like? I have two different kinds and have asked a few people and they all give me different answers. Can anyone clear this up for me?
Thank you!

Here is what the front fender braces look like for a 1935 Ford passenger car. The early vs the later style.

Thank you, that will help a lot! That's exactly what I have. Now to figure out if the car was early 35 or late 35 : )

Check your VIN number against 1935 Ford production records - I think Van Pelt website has these - to estimate approx month of factory build. Mine is an April build.

Kathy: The v8 club restoration book has the production records. The book is available on line at www.earlyfordv8.org The bracket change was near the end of Feb 1935. Lots of valuable information.

Kandrews 70....Another way to tell which brace you should use is to look at the outer lip on the fender. If the outer lip has a hole in it, then the fender was probably used with the larger brace. (see photo) When the larger brace was superceded by the small brace, the hole in the fender lip was phased out.

My 35 Coupe was very original - an April build - the pass side front fender has the outer lip hole described while the drivers did not. Would be interesting to know if this was a factory mix of early to later parts or a replacement part somewhere along the way of its life- guess we'll never know😀
