Default 1929 Repo Gas Cap Gasket

I have a new gas cap and want to use the cork gasket for it. It just falls out and stays on the tank when I take the cap off. What would be the best adhesive to attach the cork gasket to the cap?

Thanks, Jerry

I would prefer to buy a new gas cap gasket from one of the Model A dealers, otherwise the cork will be falling into the tank pretty soon. I have the same problem with cork gaskets on my gas cans.

I used some scrap leather and made mine. Pretty easy.

On my leather gasket, I put 3 dabs of Gorilla glue to hold it in & Vaseline on the other side & on the threads.
If Vaseline was good enough for Henry, it's good enough for me. "Maybe" time to write a tune???
