Default Valve and cam follower options

I am considering various adjustable lifter options, and with some recent posts I have read, I was wondering if Henry's standard original egg shell followers will work with a standard T (truck cam) and the longer Chev valves?
....Or do the small diameter valve stems punch holes in the followers?
I am looking for options for a 59 block bored to 3 5/16" (Ross pistons) otherwise pretty standard. (I want a torquey motor)
Maybe you guys can tune in here and advise where you bought your adjustables and if they work o.k. (or not)
Is there a brand that stands out as better?
I prefer to focus on the lighter ones.
I was given to believe that they should have a Rockwell hardness around 55.
I emailed Bob Drake and they replied R45 for theirs.(too soft?)
I thought this might be a good thread to help sift the sh_t from the sugar, so to speak.

you might check with Mike Davidson AT Flat attack racing, I have used his adjustable lifters in one of mine for about 6 years now , or Reds Headers
cheers

If you can get lifters from the guy in Australia that the "screw" part is almost as large as the lifter diameter itself, they are of superior design. Much more thread area to hold the adjustment.

If you want torque I hope you put in a longer stroke crank, that is the single most effective thing you can do for that.

The above answers are both correct; Flatattack lifters are the best on the market in my opinion.

Valve caps may be an option if you need more length for a reduced base circle hot cam. They are washers with a recess so they fit over the end of the valve. Chevy race stuff.

The Chev exhaust valves work with a >reground< cam because of the smaller base circle, about .060, 1/16 inch... With a stock cam, I would go with Ford valves.

Yes.

I have never seen that happen and we turn our engines 7000 with the stock hollow steel lifters.

Only two things will give you more torque. More compression and more cubic inches.

Maybe you guys can tune in here and advise where you bought your adjustables and if they work o.k. (or not)

No info. Never used them.

The stock lifters are 55-57RC. I wouldn't go less.

Or new oats from second hand oats....
