Hugh for what it worth I had my roadster rad recored, the A rad is 4 tubes in width I ordere a 5 tube in width which gives you and extra row of tubes for cooling and the added cost was only $40 not a bad price for extra cooling, with out a thermostat tops is 140F installed 160F thermostat runs at 160F regardless what the ambient temp is.
