Front Seat 1931 Sant Windshield Info Request
I am reupholstering the front seat of my 1931 Slant Window Model A On the inside of the sides the steel tub there are four rivets with slots on the floor of the tub. I imagine there should be a piece of wood covering the slots and held in place by the rivets. Is this correct? Any pictures would be very helpful...Thanks in advance mike m

Can these holes be used for the seat adjustment slides? Years ago, when I did mine, my seat adjuster slides where never removed from the bottom of the seat tub. Good luck maybe someone else will chime in.

Re: Front Seat 1931 Sant Windshield Info Request
Thanks Herb. I think the slots were used to tack the upholstery around the bottom of the seat. The rivets where there to hold a tacking strip in place on each side of the seat. Just my guess. Will see if I hear any other comments Thanks for you input

Mike, you're mentioning a tack strip, I think you're right, too many years have passed since I did mine!

I also notice that the left and right sides of the seat bucket are not stamped the same. Tabs are in different positions. Does anyone have some info on the reason for this ? I can post some pics ..Thanks in advance

Re: Front Seat 1931 Sant Windshield Info Request
Thanks for the pics and the comments. I made some wood strips to put in place. Will check the height to make sure they don't interfere with the bottom cushion. Using beech wood Suppose to be good for tacking. No splitting Thanks again
