Shackles with steel bushings
What do you guys think of the bushings offered at snyders with steel bushings and modern grease zerk? I know it’s not like original but I’m ok with that as long as they perform good. Opinions?

Re: Shackles with steel bushings
They originally had steel bushings. Did not have zerk fittings but they’re better.
As to quality of shackles, Snyder’s usually has “best available “ or will tell the down side if you ask. |

Re: Shackles with steel bushings
Put them in two years ago and they are good. Made off shore but quality is excellent.

Re: Shackles with steel bushings
In this application, the steel bushings are better than non-ferrous metal bearings, e.g. copper-brass-bronze. Because the sliding peripheral speed is low.
Hard impact loads are given here; therefor hard steel is better suited for this.
