I’ll do this a lot better this fall but plan on doing a few of these. The first photo was taken in 1936-7 of a bridge being built at Air Bellows Gap on the New Blue Ridge Parkway. These photos were taken by a professional for the park service, well the first one was. There is too much foliage for me to get the same angle until the leaves fall.

There is a good book about the building of the Parkway. I would reference it but I gave it to a friend of mine. The very last part built was the viaduct near Grandfather Mountain.
