Running on the BUZZ BOX!
I apologize for starting a new thread on an old subject. This morning I started my car on the Buzz box for all to see. I'm attaching some photos of the car running(you can tell by the vacuum gauge that it's running). I made a short movie clip that opens with "windows Media player and is 11.6 MB. I don't know how to post it so if anyone would like to see it or post it for me I'll gladly send it to you by email. This is made for the "non believers" and I'm sure we'll hear something from them.

Re: Running on the BUZZ BOX!
Thanks, I did this recording for the non believers on the Ford Barn. The ones that said it would not work or called it a "Bomb". Remember in my original Post I stated for "emergency use only". I would defiantly not crank the car by hand with this set up. Only by jumping the starter or by a pushing.

Re: Running on the BUZZ BOX!
I don't post BULLS**T. Some people on this site read from books and then post like they know it all.. . and then you have the real mechanics the hands on guys which I look up to learn something. I'm by no means a model A mechanic but if I post something that means I did it at one time or another with my own hands.

Re: Running on the BUZZ BOX!
no one knows everything and your never done learning. when you get to a point where your mind is closed and not open to new suggestions you may as well jump in a hole. i have been working on cars professionally for 32 years and always keep an open mind to learning something new. as complicated these newer cars are to work on compared to a model A its amazing how many things i learn from this board. thanks again bob for the tip.

I'm not looking to offend anyone, just posting the facts. I did not make this device, it was handed down to me. Like I said in my original post. Now I'm passing it around to everyone here. I'm not looking for a pi**ing contest. |

Re: Running on the BUZZ BOX!
I've used this emergency or lost key system many times over the years. It bypasses any problems in the whole ignition system and only uses the rotor, plug wires and plugs. Best to tape up the whole box good as it can really bite! Don't hand crank as the timing will be advanced.

Re: Running on the BUZZ BOX!
Paul,I suggest very strongly not to use it on a computer control engine/ignition. I never tried it on these new cars so it's not proven for that use. Possible computer toast.

Re: Running on the BUZZ BOX!
Ha,
Thanks for posting this info, I never thought I would rely on a Model T part to get me home in my Model A! I guess we never quit learning in this hobby. LOL Thanks, Ken |
