Make sure your file is less than 500k and is in the proper file format. Jpegs are the easiest and most successful.

Do you have your pictures stored at a site like Photo bucket or blue melon?

Make sure that your photo is no more than 800 pixals wide, otherwise, it will just freeze up and not tell you why.
800 pixals is also a good width for E-mailing. You won't send those giant images, which are hard to see.

Remember that there is a "Test Forum" under "To the Editors" where you can practice all you want without an audience. Key is to set camera to lowest resolution possible or reduce the size of the file using editing software. Hosting on other sites is good but in spite of what people say I keep hearing about pictures disappearing when something changes.

I have been using Photobucket for several years now, with no problems. It also automatically sizes them for use in posting.....very easy to use!

One way that works is to land your pictures in another site like a Photostorage site. I use photobucket because transfers from there ALWAYS come at less than 800 mp wide.

Actually ANY web picture including Photobucket can be brought in by this method. Any picture on the 'net has a URL you can determine by right clicking the pix, and then left clicking "properties." Under properties you can see the URL. "Copy" this URL to your clipboard by highlighting it and then left click-copy.

Then while making your reply, you type anywhere:
{img}URL of picture{/img} Paste in the URL you copied from before.

And instead of left and right { you use left and right [ (brackets)

I'll type in an image below which looks similar to
{img}https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=179239&stc=1&thumb=1&d =1400647850{/img}

When done as image, it looks like

Or you can use the "insert image" icon

which does the same thing automatically.
