Default Oil Leak

While I have the motor out (30' Town Sedan) to balance the flywheel and pressure plate, I thought I would trace an oil leak that was perplexing me. It turns out that the oil is coming from the rear camshaft bearing hole. Aside from some permatex on the gasket is there anything I should do to eliminate this oil leak? Anything I should be aware of that would cause this oil leak?

As always,
Thanks for your time,

Chris

I have heard of people putting a plug in the hole which meant cutting off a portion of the camshaft to accomodate it. Perhaps somebody can elaborate. I think I have a similar problem with a small oil leak which is perplexing because my flywheel housing mated very well to the block.

The A block only has gravity fed oil at that point, sealer on both sides of the gasket should suffice.
