Default HELP! Unable To Remove Toploader From Model B Motor

I must be doing something wrong. Can't seem to remove a early Ford top loader from my model B motor. The banger has a V8 top loader adapter bolted to it to accept a 32 V8 3 speed box. I've removed all bolts around the tyranny and she should slide out but she won't budge. What am l doing wrong? Help!

I had that problem once. It turns out some one set the pilot shaft into the flywheel pilot bearing with blue loctite. I had to pry the trans out very slowly using leverage on opposite sides and time. Ultimately the bearing came out of the flywheel still stuck onto the trans shaft.

My thought exactly. Anyone who has bushed back an input shaft bearing seat would be wont to do that on reassembly. He might even be foolish enough to blue loctite the bearing into the flywheel.

I mean - what else could it be? The tranny to flywheel interface is all pretty much the same as the Model A - Ford used that same setup into the 1950s.

Thanks fellas for your input. I think a little brute forced applied gently might get this thing apart.
