Default Unable to removing 3 spd top loader from 4 Banger

I must be doing something wrong. Can't seem to remove a early Ford top loader from my model B motor. The banger has a V8 top loader adapter bolted to it to accept a 32 V8 3 speed box. I've removed all bolts around the tyranny and she should slide out but she won't budge. What am l doing wrong? Help!

Hi, someone might know here, but you might want to post on the 'Early V8' forum and the 'Hot Rods & Customs' forum. You might have better luck with them, Bill

The input shaft may be stuck to the clutch disc or pilot bearing.

Hey A BONED,
Looks like you have an early V8 trans. The top appears to be '35. However the rear bearing flange is approx. '40ish. Anyway, IF you have all bolts out, take a large rubber mallet and your booted foot...knock that rear mount from side/side , while using a sturdy long screw driver gently prying bell housing (alum adapter) rearward. Shouldn't take much effort and you should see movement quickly at bell. I'd also SUPPORT the rear of the trans on a 2x4 or some such, to keep stress off of the input shaft as you work it back.
NOTE:
It this combination had NOT been used for quite some time, the internals (disk/pressure plate)may have 'adhered' / stuck to the flywheel. That's about all that it could be.
