What to do when a Model A Stops
I while back I ran across a little hand book called 'What to Do when a Model A Stops" and I want to include it or something like it in our Model A clubs roster printing this year. Anybody know where I can find an electronic copy of it assuming its out of print and free for the public?
I did some googling with not much luck. |

Re: What to do when a Model A Stops
Sorry... this is not exactly what you are asking, but the Les Andrews Blue Book titled "Model A Ford Troubleshooting and Diagnostics" has five pages on "Engine will not start or starts hard." starting on page 3-1. You could carry a copy on tour.
But that's copyrighted material, not public domain, so you could not copy it for club distribution.

I original typed this up to tape onto my fire-extinguisher, but the list became too long.

I too would like to put it in our club roster and would like a pdf file. I notice the one you posted starts with the letter "d." after the front cover - is there a page missing? Thanks, Fred

Re: What to do when a Model A Stops
Why would I need a book to tell me what to do?
The answer is obvious - Since it stopped you should be at the side of the road. The best thing to do open your handy dandy emergency kit, remove the bottle and glasses, and begin drinking. They might arrest you for loitering but it won't be for DWI. |

I would like to offer some information regarding the booklet "What To Do If The Model 'A' Stops."

Sole permission to publish, sell, and distribute the booklet in the United States has been granted to Automated Graphics Design by the author and The Model A Ford Club of Norway. Re: What to do when a Model A Stops
My usually very reliable Model A died the other day on the highway. I lifted the hood, saw nothing amiss, pressed the starter and she was away again without any recurrence. It was probably a temporary fuel blockage that cleared itself. Conclusion: Doing nothing is sometimes an option before you start unscrewing or dismantling anything.
