Question cross over steering

This may make some of you laugh. I purchased 1946-48 Ford spindles, received today, and was trying to adapt them to 1953-56 F100 drum backing plates to install on a 1931 Model A. Finally came to the conclusion that period of car had cross over steering, is this correct? Any information greatly appreciated!

You can buy a bolt on steering arm if you want it to be drag link style like a Model A.

Cross steer started in 35 and went up to 48 on cars. Pickups were cross steering 35 to 47

Remember if you are planning to run early Ford wire wheels they will require a very thick spacer which will look funny (in my opinion) and screw up the steering geometry. I always run the old Lockheed brakes which require a $25 adapter kit to use the original Model A spindles. My second choice would be the reproduction Lincoln brakes (the Lincoln brakes are better but it is a cost trade off) that are available (I believe) to bolt onto the Model A spindles .
