Default Peters 180A Firewall Finish

I was interested to see the photo of Peter's 180A firewall posted by swo4rd. I was surprised to see the shine on the firewall.
Peter did you take a deduction in points judging for this?

No .... i did put a flattner in the paint and did not rub it out. You can see the difference between the firewall finish and the body finish. Did the same as the rear under fenders. 'BUT" The late Steve C . at French Lick took off some for the underside of the rear floor pan... He did say if he needed to shave and in need of a mirror he would use my pan...

Thanks Pete, what was left of the original paint on my Victoria floor pan looked very shiny as though the whole pan had been dipped originally.

Same here... with the pan /all i know is i wanted to protect the under body panels with a good healthy coat of the best paint ... That's one part you don't want to do again.

Peters,
For $$$, I'm available for specialty painting. I can do flat, semi-gloss, semi-semi-gloss, and for a slight xtra charge, I can do EGG-SHELL! Have I forgotten anything? Oh! yes, HAMMERTONE, done with a fine miniature ball-pein hammer with a Persimmon wood handle! Bill W.
