Default Model a transmission fit ?

Will any year model a transmission fit in any year model a motor from 28-31? Regardless of year?

The bell housing and transmission should fit up; the ball joint coupling on the earlier transmission has a different bolt spacing.

Also the 1928 multipe disc clutch requires a different flywheel and bellhousing. There could also be starter bendix clearance problems depending on which version of the 28 flywheel you have. Rod
