Default Got My EAB Home

Got my EAB home this weekend finally and knocked the heads and intake off to get a quick look. I was amazed that it wasn't stuck! A couple of intake valves didn't want to close. Pretty geeked

You're off to a good start! The oil pan looks like a '53 pickup. That means EAB cam. Good stuff!

Good engine, good heads, good cam, looks like a 49-50 Merc oil pan, good pan to install engine in 48 and older car. Clean it up, unstick the valves, pressure in new oil, install an oil pressure guage and fire it up, Walt

I knocked it apart tonight. It is standard bore with standard rods and mains. With the Merc pan and tangerine block, I was hoping for a Merc crank but nope it's a 3.75. The bearings were worn to the copper on four rods. Can't see any cracks anywhere! I'm a lucky dude!
