Re: My Solar Powered '31 coupe
Stopped on my scooter watching 2 boys playing cars in the dirt, related to them of stuff I did like that! Told them we played cars under the high mounted house, cause it was cool & the soil was damp & easy to dig roads, etc. We had a great chat. When I left, I made the "BEST" motor sound I could conjure up!! Half a block away, I could still hear them LAUGHIN' They're going to come by soon & see Buster T. & Vermin, the Model A. Bill W.

Re: My Solar Powered '31 coupe
I have noticed that all these youngin's want to know the same thing, "How Fast Does It Go?" to which my response is always, "It will do 60 MPH in 15 Minutes". That way they have to think about it and Math comes into play. Most will just reply, "Aw, Kool ..!"

to differ is not to be wrong. I simply would have handled the situation in a different manner. I apologize if I slighted Jim B.

Re: My Solar Powered '31 coupe
Good to see that most of you understand what's going on here.
We have a rover on Mars, called Curiosity, so we can learn. Humans, and especially kids, are curious and have a craving for knowledge and understanding. When a boy asks, "does it run on regular gas", he is interested, curious, and looking for knowledge. So, when you run into a situation like this, you take advantage of it and feed the boy's little gray cells so he actually has a chance to learn something and then run home and tell his dad and his buddys about it. Nuff said. Let's put this one to bed. Jim |

Jim wasn't trying to outsmart the 10 year olds, he was getting them to think about a natural process. Oops, didn't see that you wanted to put this one to bed. |

I could not agree more with everything you have said, I feel that Jim prob. had a good laugh as the two 10 year old boys left scratching their heads, to bad.

Hi Louis,
Well said! "But!.. I do believe Jim is smarter then a 10 year old" However, in my opinion, after observing my grandchildren, the entire conversational tide would have changed drastically if Jim would have tried to show these two inquisitive (10) year olds how his new cell phone works. |

Re: My Solar Powered '31 coupe
H. L. Chauvin, you are so right,
I'm sure those two inquisitive 10 year olds could have told Jim all he wanted to know and more about his "solar powered " cell phone, I know, I have had to ask mine more then once to help me out with me cell phone. In that area [cell phones and computers] I'm not as smart as a 10 year old, and I have a feeling that Jim, even with his knowledge of solar powered "A" models may not be as smart as a 10 year old . I GOTTA GO,... I HEAR THE NURSE COMMING .

zzlegend,
Yes, her name is nurse Ratchet, and she has twice recommend me for a frontal lobotomy, the bitc#, I cant stand-er. She will never get to ride on my nuclear powered Harley which I plan on riding tomorrow as the rain will be gone and the temp. will be in the high 70's with sunshine, Just as soon as I drive my 31 coupe FOR a few miles. HERE SHE COMES AGIN,... I GOTTA GO, BY.

Is that what they call it now that the frontal lobotomy has been outlawed? LOL You guys in Geogia are lucky to be able to drive your A's most of the year. We just got more snow again today. Minnesota.......the nation's icebox. |

Re: My Solar Powered '31 coupe
You would die of envy, Louis!! Disabled ooooold man down the street has a housekeeper, a long brown haired BEAUTY, that whizzes in on her Harley & her own door opener!! First time I saw her whip off the helment & jacket, I almost had a whizzbang CORONARY! She cleans his house, uses his car to shop, repairs plumbing, and anything that breaks, and repairs her own Harley!
Buster T. says I should FAKE total disability, so's we can hire her Wonder if she can type? bILL w.

Re: My Solar Powered '31 coupe
Jim, You mentioned nuclear power is the exception to everything being solar powered. Actually, the heavy elements such as uranium, which is the nuclear power fuel, can only be created when a sun goes super nova. So, even nuclear power is, at it's root, solar power.
