Default 1947 pedal shaft and bushings

Has anyone replaced the pedal shaft, is it even replaceable it looks like piece to me. There's someone on Ebay selling the shaft, I have 2 pedal assy and both shafts are worn. My 2 choices are to either replace the shaft or turn down the shaft and make new bushings out of oilite. I'm dumb and saw an NOS one but didn't get it.

Also what's the difference between 1940 and 1947 pedals?.

The same brake bracket and shaft were used from 40-48. The shaft is pressed into the bracket and is is not all that hard of a job to replace it. The washers and clips at the end of the shaft that retain the pedals are hard to find. Most of the aftermarket parts suppliers sell the shaft.

Its not that tight but you need a press and have to support the bracket so you dont break it

That's good to know. Is there a difference on the pedal arms between the '40 and '47?. I have a '40 that I was going to rebuild and put in my '47 or should I just rebuild the '47 pedals.

Arms are different. Atleast the clutch is. It has more of a curve then a 40. The frame bracket is the same. Check the part number on the side of the pedal arm
