Are the narrowtransmission bolt pattern (T-10) pattern manual bell housings that would be correct on a FE powered 61 Galaxie (with the snout for the pull style starter) the same depth as a C5TA-7505-B FE truck manual bell housing? I am aware of the different bolt patterns just asking about the depth?

They were still narrow pattern in 1961. The narrow pattern was used up through 1964 but the top loaders came out in 1964 for FE types.

The FEs had their own bell housings They likely used either the T85 R11 OD trans or the T10 on the same bell. The T10 was better suited for the small blocks but I think they had a heavier duty spline. I'd have to check the parts catalogs for T10 specific parts but I don't have those catalogs.

I know that the C5TA…FE truck bell can be drilled and tapped for the narrow bolt pattern because it has the extra metal on the inside but I was really wondering if that bellhousing is the same DEPTH as the earlier FE bell for the input shaft to work?
