Default New project 63 hardtop falcon

I needed a new winter project,so I picked up a1963 ford falcon futura ,6 cyl,3 on the tree…. My plan is to put a v8 in ,but first I want to change to 5 lug. what’s the best route to go,without breaking the bank??

The easiest and cheapest would be to find a V8 donor (FALCON-MUST).

The 6-cyl and 8-cyl front suspension and steering are completely different. Of course you would want at the minimum an 8" rear (depending on final HP).

Planning on P/S or M/S?

Read this post from the HAMB, particularly the post by Gimpy and Crazy Steve. The structure between the 6 and V8 cars is significantly different. They have been known to fail if any noticeable horsepower increase is made without the upgrades.

It’s not about the AOD.
