Model A Tudor seat help
The back of the seat has been leaning back on one side so I took it out to see what was going on. Discovered the hindged bracket is broken. See photos. I can’t find this part in any of the supplier catalogs. Any help with this would be great! Or maybe JB weld?

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
Call Snyders. I know that sounds strange, but they started their business making seat spring assembles for Model-A Fords.

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
I found it really odd that it does not appear in their catalog or on the website.

Don't weld it. If you do you will regret it.

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
just undo the upholstery right there and remove the three nuts and the lower leg of that bracket and remove the pivot pin. and replace the whole bracket. if yours is a early one that is cast or later one that is press steel just replace it. they are readily available. Steve at Bert`s should have some.

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
I was able to remove it, but cannot find a replacement. It is a cast piece and is not stamped steal.

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
Okay, I’ll try calling tomorrow. Do you by chance know the name of the part? Lower seat bracket is what I would call it but I’m not so sure that is descriptive....lol

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
I have no idea who makes them but my 1930 came with new reproduction seats in front.

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
Just as a follow up, Bert’s had original ones in stock and they are on there way to me. Thanks for the help from everyone on the forum. Sounds like the one I had was a bad repo one from years ago. Good to have some old steel ones coming. I got two, so I’m ready for the other side to fail!

Re: Model A Tudor seat help
LOL......I was wondering if those were some sort of re-pop. After looking at your pics again I thought what the hell......it should not be cast but stamped steel. Glad you have it solved.
