Default 1940 trans

Can someone please show me the correct rear stock trans mounts on my 40 ford.

I am guessing you have the 85HP engine???
If that's the case, here ya go. Note this is wider than the later version.

Compliments of Mac VanPelt's wonderful pictures and information, this is the '1937-'41 rear bearing retainer. DD



The 78-7085 mount shown above was used for 1937 to 40 Ford cars, and light trucks from 1937 to 1941. The mounting ears had
a 10" spacing between the centerlines of the two bolt holes.

And below is how it mounts on the trans.
