Does anyone have any hot tips on how to fit the 39 tear drop tail lights on a rumble seat 32? I'm assuming I have to cut the tail light housing down (?) to allow for clearance of the rumble lid.
I noticed Ken Gross' 32 is done this way. I was just wondering what it takes before I cut any of this.

I think I remember that some aftermarket housings were not as deep and cleared the rumble lid.

Model A-V8 roadster, what I did was to get some new light sockets... Drill the side of the tail light housing so they would go in the side... Chop off the offending rear of the housing and weld in a piece of sheet metal... Paint the inside white as per some one elses suggestion...

I have used 39 taillights that are made with the light sockets in the side and the insides are already white! I think I got them form Pete & Jakes?? Just checked the P&J catalogue and not only do the sockets mount in the side but the housings are shorter than the standard repro.

Hmmm, didn't think of mounting through the side of the housing. I had already thought about using some chrome paint for the inside.

Anyone have an e-mail for Ken Gross?
