Default storage in michigan

Does anybody put there cars in those blow up bags? I'm in michigan and i don't have a heated garage..are they worth the money? My wife parks in the garage in the winter so the garage is open and closed 4 times a day. Not to mention the snow and salt from the streets all over her car. thanks in advance.

The blow up bags are a lot more hassle than an unheated garage, and still unheated. Just have her wash it off and put it in if it has salt on it.

My friend uses a bag in his unheated garage. The car stays nice and clean and no mice get to it.

As far as driving a salt wagon into the garage, I'd put a layer of plastic on the floor and an old carpet over the plastic. That should keep the salt off the concrete. Once salt hits the concrete it spreads and rusts everything touching the floor.

I was thinking of getting one of those vehicle bags or cocoon bag . california car cover has one too. i guess anything is better than just letting it sit in the garage with just a cloth cover on it.thanks for all the comments.

I think it would also depend on where the cocoon was sitting-out in the open or shrouded by trees and buildings. Out in the country where I am I wouldn't even CONSIDER one of those due the the windy conditions we have out here. I once had a tent type garage and would never attempt to store a classic car in it.

If you cover it up while in storage for the winter, you miss all the joy of spring cleaning!
