Default engine machine shop north of Seattle

Any recommendations for a machine shop north of Seattle? We seem to have lost most of the experienced flathead shops over the last few years. Rob at action looks to not want to do any flatheads I am told.

I had a merc crank ground about 2 years ago at Valley Machine, just off the freeway in Mt Vernon. Told them I had some blocks to bring in later, but haven't contacted them lately. Is Rob the guy who was on Aurora?

Valley Machine said no to doing flatheads today. Yes, Rob is still the owner of Action Machine.

Oh great... So we are in the same boat. Surely there must be somebody left.

It sounds like Sedro-Woolley Carquest is willing to still do Flathead machining.

Thanks! Just so happens my current 'day job' project is a large center island for a new home in Sedro-Wooley. With the homeowner paying for the delivery round trip with ferry fares etc, I will stash a block or two in the truck.
