NGK has recently changed their numbering system, it seems. On motorcycle plugs my local Carquest dealer has to look up a new number for plugs that I have used for years.

Default NGK spark plugs

Wanted to try the NGK A6 spark plugs that were suggested earlier (March 18, 2005 post). The motor in my 1936 Ford pickup is a 1938 truck motor. Anyway, NAPA says the A6 is an obsolete NGK plug. Did some more checking and found the following sources for the NGK A6: 1. motodepot.com 2. mfgsupply.com Has anyone bought from either of these companies, or know of a good source for these plugs? Thanks, John Dugan

There was a lot of support for the NGK B6L in a thread several months ago. What happened to that one? Is it no longer in vogue?

One set of NGK plugs solves the plug problems. The other companies plugs are like razor blades, you keep replacing them. G.M.
