Re: How about some engine pictures!
Walt: The truck engine is a 254. Can't say for sure but I'd guess the head would fit-the only difference between the 254 and the 226 is the bore. The 223 is listed at 3.3"; the 254 is 3.5. (Wonder why the inline 6 engines and the y-blocks are dimensioned in decimals and everything else is in fractions?). Can't imagine Ford casting a different block or changing the head bolt pattern for something like that.

Re: How about some engine pictures!
This Knudsen head is actually for a "G" series 226. The back of the "G" head is shaped differently than an "H' series. "G" engine is flat at the back and the "H" has a bump-out. The head would fit the "M" 254 six which is the same block as the "H" series.

Moved the battery and rewiring. Still working on it. Anybody have an original restorable oil cap they could sell me?

Re: How about some engine pictures!
Hmmm? I thought I posted this a couple of days ago.
The attached pic shows the 59AB in my '36 Ford, of course this was before everything had to be polished billet. Chrome air cleaner bonnets were not very practical in Eastern Idaho, to many dirt/gravel roads, a pair of oil baths worked better. The oil baths also made the engine quieter. The setup shown in the picture has been working for 56 years so I just keep doing my maintenance on a true "old school" car.
