Default Rouge engine breaking in and stamping

Period photos in the DeAngelis book show breaking in and crating of Model A engines on the production line at Rouge being done with the following components attached: manifolds (but no carb), starter, generator, waterpump (but not fan),clutch, bellhousing (with clutchshaft but no arm) and gearbox including shift tower ( but no lever), no distributor nor spark plugs. Q1 Can anyone confirm this was indeed the case Q2 Did the engines get tested with dissy/carb fuel etc before crating or fitting? Q3 at which stage in the process did the engine get stamped?

Engines were not run on the engine line. they were turned by an electric motor until the resistance to turning was satisfactory. After the engines passed this test they were numbered, crated and shipped to assembly plants.

Did they have the ancillaries I've listed fitted whilst they were being turned by an electric motor ( as shown in De Angelis book?)
