I had a 40 Merc 4 door convert. I could get 10 girls in the thing. Of course there is safety in numbers.

Re: High School Graduation - 1941
Tex29 - Fortunately (for you) your age, or lack thereof, is showing. Originally, many highschools and colleges - secondary schools - were male only. Times changes and thankfully girls were admitted, much to the delight of a lot of guys. The schools then became Co-Educational -i.e. for both males and females. For many years thereafter, highschool and college girls were referred to as Co-Eds. By the time I was in highschool - the early 60's - the term "co-ed' was usually applied to college girls only.
End of history lesson. |

Although I prefer closed cars, I really would like a 1938 Convertible Sedan some day in the future.

Re: High School Graduation - 1941
On a somber note, it's a safe bet to say that virtually all the young men in those pictures have passed on. I've long ago lost touch with my own high school friends, and wonder about them, more frequently as I get older. I've never been to a reunion and never will, but still, I wonder...

Re: High School Graduation - 1941
I am 49 and I graduated with about 250 classmates in 1981; because of FaceBook, we know the post-graduation stories of the majority of our classmates.
