Default 1934 pickup battery access size

I have a reproduction plywood floor panel that was made to fit a 1933/34 pickup. It almost fit but I do not think the battery access opening is correct.
Should the hole be big enough to change the battery with out removing the entire floor? This new wood only has a 4"x 8" oval shaped hole that is much too small to put a battery through.
What size opening is correct? What is used to cover the hole?
Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.

The reproduction floorboard is correct. The oval hole is for a simple sheet metal inspection plate that allows access to the battery for maintanance and inspection. The floorboard must be removed to access the battery.
The inspection plate used to be available from Model A parts dealers. That is where I got mine. The plate has a couple of curved arms on the bottom that fit with friction in the access hole.

Thanks for the fast reply. I will look for the "A" cover.

I got my inspection plate from Model A parts dealer as well. Fits just like the original. A lot of Model A parts will fit your '33-'34 pickup.

I had to replace floor board in my 35peecup. I reconfigured it to where I can replace battery WITHOUT REMOVING FLOORBOARD. Neat & simple modification.
