'34 Spindles Interchangeable Side to Side?
When I drug a '34 Ford front end out of a shed recently, I noted that the passenger side spindle had been been stuck down in the dirt, and it's now very rusty and pitted, especially the threads. I have another front axle with a clean, driver's side spindle still on it. I am wondering if it matters which side a spindle was originally on or not. Is there a problem replacing a passenger side spindle with a driver's side spindle?

You should be able to look at the picture below and answer your own question. To swap spindles as you suggest, there will be arms pointing in wrong directions, with no way of hooking-up tie rod between left and right spindle. DD
