36 Coupe window channel question
Does anyone have a photo of a 36 Coupe door window channel or can you tell me if these are correct?
Thanks Fred |

Re: 36 Coupe window channel question
Thanks Randy,
Based on your posting I would say mine are probably not any version of 1936 Coupe channel. I will do some further measuring to see if there's any way to use them with modifications. |

Re: 36 Coupe window channel question
Awesome thanks. I'll do some measuring and maybe could be cut off to work.

Re: 36 Coupe window channel question
I believe the channels I've got are for 37 or 38 but could be cut off to be very close to the 36 coupe channel. Check the photos. Could possibly help someone else in the future.

Re: 36 Coupe window channel question
I think you can cut. I think some of the aftermarket glass channels are made to cover several different years and are intended to be cut down as required. Overall length is probably not critical.
What is critical is the location of the pin that will be caught by the regulator’s cam to move the glass horizontally. The dimension from front edge of glass to that pin must match the original. If not, movement will bind before it can transition to/from horizontal to up-down. |
