V8 water pump
I plan to run a 34 Ford V8 pump on my s/w sedan but can't figure how to attach a fan to it. Can someone give me an idea? Thanks, Art

Re: V8 water pump
Jim, thanks for the idea but I am also running an A/C compressor. I believe the load will be too much for an A water pump. The serpentine belt will not be compatible with the A/C pump pulley
I am trying to locate an electric fan that will do the job. Do you know if curved fan blades are quieter than straight ones? |

Re: V8 water pump
can't help you there art. i only run a small fan, about 12" in diameter, and it cools nicely. i even ran it in a parade one 4th of july and although the temp went up a little it never boiled.

Re: V8 water pump
We run stock water pumps with our A/C kits, no problems. the new A/C compressors don't draw down like in the old days.

Re: V8 water pump
I ran my 29 Pk Up with a 32 pump, with a Lion Head, no fan, a pressurized Walker extra core Rad in the Virgin Islands, 85 winter 95 Summer and NEVER had a heat up problem, NEVER. In fact it ran to cool. Iceman
