Re: valves
My thoughts exactly. Vehicles are not affected by changing back and forth with daylight saving time. LOL and all that stuff.

Re: valves
Not valves, 125 PSI on all cylinders means the valves are moving and seating.
Diagnose the problem, fuel or spark. Verify spark before looking at fuel. Do you have a hot blue spark at the plugs? |

Quote:
Would you still get good compression readings it the timing gear broke some teeth? - Check for a blue spark that will jump half an inch when cranking. If good, go back to the carb and fuel system. If not, Check: - Coil wire fully inserted into coil and distributor. Primary connections and wires good. - Check battery voltage at coil with points open; drop a couple volts with points closed. Nudge the engine rotation by crank pulley or shoving the car a bit in high gear. - If all that looks good, pull the distributor, clean and adjust the points precisely. And replace the condenser. |

Re: valves
Would not get good compression on all cylinders with bad timing gear.
